Ferguson) or at any of the 3 Hangers of Hope resale shops that support the clinic. They support a monthly CPAP clinic to provide PAP Therapy and support PAP users. A "New" Comet - C/2024 S1(ATLAS) - is on the way. Just discovered the end of this September - It will be very bright coming in a Sun Grazer AND if it survives this close encounter with our Star it will come around to the morning pre-dawn sky !

Second Night to look at the Atlas 3 2023 Comet. Out from my front gate with a good western view - Comet is directly between Venus and Arcturus about 15 - 20 degrees above the horizon at 7:30 PM when it is dark enough to see (sunset about 6:45 PM). After my eyes dark adapted could plainly see the bright tail pointing straight up. In binoculars it was GORGEOUS ! It should improved night to night for the next week at least - the Moon will move out of the way over the next 4 to 5 nights giving an even better view. This will be one of the best comets I have ever seen in almost 40 years of observing ! ! ! It has not been seen here in some 80,000 years - So.... if you don't see it this time around you will have to wait the same amount of time to see it on it's next trip by🤣😅😀🤩😎

WOW ! An Eclipse Themed Concert, A Star Party AND Free Planetarium shows ! TJC has got it GOING ON ! ! !

ETSO presents ‘Totality of The Sun’ performances April 6
In partnership with TJC, the East Texas Symphony Orchestra will present two special performances celebrating a total eclipse.

“Totality of the Sun” will feature the ETSO performing celestial musical selections accompanied by beautiful visuals provided by the science center.

Performances are 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in Wise Auditorium, located in the Rogers Palmer Performing Arts Center on the TJC central campus.

Tickets are on sale at ETSO.org.

Star Party Saturday on April 6
Also on April 6, the TJC science center will host its monthly Star Party Saturday event, from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Visitors will find plenty of telescopes for viewing in the center’s front courtyard (weather permitting), and area astronomy buffs will be on hand to help navigate the night sky.

Free planetarium shows will also be offered in the domed theater at 8, 8:30, and 9 p.m.

I have a very strong interest in Astronomy/Space. Eye Safety will be paramount for our up and coming Eclipses here in East Texas. As such we have Certified Solar Viewing Glasses here at CPS Medical.

Eclipse Glasses are out on the Front Counter - $2.50 a Pair ! Good Viewing - You will need them for both the 10/14/23 Partial Eclipse and the Partial Phases of the 4/8/2024 Total Solar Eclipse !
