Art of Skin MD Education: Everything You Need to Know About Plasma Rich Fibrin (PRF)
Join myself and Art of Skin MD Physician Assistant Stephanie Williams as we discuss a newer treatment called Plasma Rich Fibrin (PRF).
We can use a derivative of PRF to create a product called EZ Gel that can be used in a variety of areas on the face to allow volumetric changes and skin textual changes in the skin. Common areas of treatment include the infraorbital, hollow or tear troughs as well as the perioral region.
The process of harvesting PRF involves a blood draw, and spinning the blood slowly without any additive to create the end product. This can be used as a substitute to PRP, and has advantage of containing the matrix, which allows for more growth factors to be distributed into the injected or treated tissues.
