Our tangerine beauty crossvine in our demonstration gardens is absolutely popping off! Meet the Texas Superstar 👇

Tangerine Beauty was first discovered growing in a garden in San Antonio in the ‘80s. It is commonly pollinated by hummingbirds for obvious reasons. It is an evergreen that graces many of our events throughout the year and looks pretty year-round. It is an excellent replacement for the ever-so-invasive trumpet vine, as it doesn’t try and take over your entire landscape and neighborhood.

☀️ Heaviest blooms in full sun, but will tolerate moderate shade.
🥶 Hardy to zone 6
💧Drought tolerant
🥵Heat tolerant
-Well-to-moderately drained soils are best
-Adaptable and can grow in salad, silt or clay

We’ve stocked fresh bougainvilleas, ready to be planted as either an annual or in a container that needs to be brought inside or into a greenhouse when it freezes. Grow with proper drainage and soil amendments like expanded shale and compost to handle our heavy clay — these beauties are ready to thrive in your landscape or containers.

Give them full sun, (6-8 hrs daily) and watch them put on a show all season long! 🌞✨

Which strawberry bloom is your favorite!? Red, pink or white?? 🍓

It’s the tail-end (late January to mid-March) of strawberry planting season! 🍓 and we still have plenty in-stock, as well as strawberry pots!

🍓 Find a good strawberry pot with planting holes randomly scattered around the pot

🍓 Use a good potting mix that contains water-retaining materials such as peat moss or perlite to allow water to easily pe*****te through the entire pot

🍓 Blend in a good fertilizer (we love Bio Tone Organic Starter Plus)

🍓 Place plant into pot and gently guide the foliage through the planting hole, with the root system remaining in the pot

🍓 Continue adding potting mix up to each level, and feeding each plant through, until you reach the top

🍓 Finally, add the last layer of potting soil and strawberry plants or basil like we did here to help facilitate growth and repel pests

🍓 Water daily
