After not fishing for a month because I've been in full time whitetail hunting mode I was a little reluctant to accommodate a first time client that all but begged me to take them tautog fishing. But I offered them Sunday only and they agreed. Being this late in the year and no one I knew fished this past week wasn't sure what to expect. But I said a prayer, went with my gut taking an educated guess locking in on one of my favorite late season humps with bow and stern anchors and my prayers were answered with nonstop tautog action getting all limits and coming home early.

And if that wasn't enough of a blessing, I came home to a busy farm with my favorite families spectating their kids riding and others in lessons with Carol. I made myself a coffee and sat on my grass hill socializing with some of my favorite people.
The Piper asked me to ride with her and Charlotte. It hurt me to say not today, I'm beat and want to spend time with your parents. I saw the disappointment she tried to hide behind her ok and her smile. After socializing a bit I went in the house for a bite then yelled out the back door hey girls do you want to take ride to the bogs? I got an enthusiastic yes and thumbs up from Piper so we hit the trail and made this perfect day even better!
Sleep is for when there's no opportunity to make memories! ❤️

Praying this fog burns off today. 25 miles one way of zero visibility is not fun. Already had 2 days of it!
So dangerous, can't relax for a minute!

Billy Major Sr. Last fishable day before the stormy next 5 days. Looking forward to sleeping in showing some much needed TLC to both boats and gear, move a couple trail cameras clear shooting lanes finish tuning my Frenchie and give a couple riding and roping lessons to students kind enough to wait for me!
It ain't easy being me, FUN, but not easy! Lol

First trip of the year for tautog was pretty good even though water temperature is still a little high. Good buddy Ray Lozeau came to help with a little recon mission for upcoming charter's.
All the fish look alike but are different fish! Lol

This has not only been reason for Rope n Turn Farm's but also Major Holiday Fishing Charter's success.
Happiness pride dignity and respect have always come before money. For that matter has always come before anything in my life even when I was punching a clock in the beginning of my life.
Disrespect should always be eliminated from your life as fast as it entered. No excuses! ❤️

A friendly reminder to my fellow trainers (and any horse person in general)-

-Nobody is worth your peace of mind..if they cost you your peace, kick them out!

- No one can buy your trust, when you see their true actions...believe them.

- If they can't respect you or the facility, they need to leave.

- No amount of money is worth harboring negative energy in your work and play atmosphere.

I am done trying to hatch bad eggs. I am no longer willing to try to fix, help, slave or suffer for those not willing to give the same effort or at the least carry themselves with class and integrity.

Say it with me friends:

Your barn, your rules. And your happy place. If they don't like it, they can leave.

Customer service should not feel like slavery. You shouldn't feel uncomfortable when people pull into your barn driveway. Stick to your guts. And your boundaries. 💕
