According to the ancient Greek myth, Medusa was capable to turn anyone that looked at her into stone. Perseus used Athena’s shield as a mirror to avoid looking directly at the monster and cut off its head. While resting on the shore the blood that dripped from Medusa’s head to the sea turned seaweed into red corals. 🪸

Red coral needs a little attention to become the stunning stone you see in our jewellery. Transforming raw coral into a precious material requires skill and patience. The coral branches are hand-cut, drilled and polished. Much of the coral is lost during this process, leaving behind only the most beautiful finished product.
