Overall, really like how this has turned out!

Need to rework the edges as I deviated slightly from the original pattern (I like to experiment) and I'm not quite liking the result of the connected edges, so will go back and redo it!
I gotta say I think these will look really great as earrings!

Past few weeks there's been little to no crochet going on...hands have been pretty darn cruddy. Managed to get a new project started the other night...slow and steady! 💛💙

Autoimmune flare ups and the resulting inflammation can really knock my crochet game down, among other daily life things 😔

And I've also noticed my eyes for closeup stuff, especially the micro crochet 👀 yowza!...have definitely changed. The 40s are a marvelous bag of assorted gifts, but I'm still thankful for everything that I have and can still do.

Here's to that magnifying glasses set I have been meaning to buy, might need to get that on order sooner than later. 🫣🔎

As they say...Learn to rest, not to quit. Xo 😘

This elegant Boho vibes style crochet spiral coaster is super relaxing to make... I'm down with that zen crochet in the evenings and this pattern is perfect for it! 👌

I'm considering making a few different set versions. Maybe some that are cork backed or something...we'll see what happens. Sometimes a good starch and block works just fine!

Finally made the cascade of heart earrings with the Golo 100% Mercerized Cotton fine lace thread I decided to give a try!

Not only do I really like this lovely green (Fruit Green #3346), but the quality of the thread is great!

This is the smallest thread I have worked with to date and I realize that a good light is not the only thing I now need....I will definitely be ordering that magnify eyeglass set 🔎🤣

Also, finally broke out that size 1.0 crochet hook! 🥳

When you are lucky enough to have amazing friends that are creative talents and so very inspiring!

This past weekend I was generously gifted these beautifully spooky cherry skull earrings made by Maria.

This lovely lady has consistently supported me in my creative endeavours in so many ways and has inspired me to try new things and continue to learn! I love our crafty sessions together and I hope one day in the near future we'll be sharing a table together at a vendor event. I hope we'll do artsy stuff as lil old ladies too! 😘

Thanks for the love and support of all my family and friends over the years. It means so very much!

I always love when my creations bring a smile to someone's face & heart, especially when it's family! ❤️ This diamond crochet shawl is light but warm and cozy. I especially enjoyed making this one! Perfect for a chilly evening out, or by the campfire while sipping on your glass of Shiraz🍷

This shawl is made with Caron Latte Cakes acrylic yarn in "Velvet Teal". The reason I love these latte cakes is that the yarn has such a luxurious feel. No scratch or itch, just soft fuzziness that envelopes!
And easy to work with which is always a bonus 🙌

My beautiful cuz also happens to be wearing the boho granny stitch earrings with tassels that I designed (Yarn is Heathered Tweed in the colour "Azure"). Thanks so much for your support and enthusiasm for my creations. It really does mean the world to me! 🥰

When people ask why handmade items are "so expensive" I really do just want to laugh...

Small craft/artisan business owners, whether it be part time or full time, are working hard to make beautiful, quality, and truly unique items! We do it all... everything from securing our supplies, marketing & social media, vendor fees, cost of travel, and much much more. Pricing isn't just based off of the cost of materials.

Over the past couple of years I have learned to value my time and my pricing reflects that. I no longer entertain deals or sales to appease bargain shoppers.

I have no problem answering questions as to how/why my products are priced, but be respectful when you get the answer. It may not be the answer you want, and there's definitely no shame if your budget doesn't allow for the purchase....just don't be a 🍆 about it!

Most of us have been pressured one way or another to give away, or sell for cheaper and I am over it. We are not mega corporations raking in huge obscene profits for mass produced products.

Most of us small business folk are already regularly donating to local charities and fundraisers without even being asked.
So, of you truly want to support local businesses and especially women business owners - who are some of the most generous people I know - Pay the price on the sticker! Full stop.
If you cannot afford it, just politely move on. No judgement.

Okay, I'm going back to spending hours weaving in these ends now....😁

Aww Yeah!! Finally got around to stiffening these Rainbow🌈 Mini Mandalas! Just wondering🤔 how much longer I'll have to blow🌬️ on em to dry them out! 😜😂 These are going to be some lovely colourful spring/summer/anytime earrings! Nothing mini about these ones as they measure approximately 3" across (about the size of your palm).
