Chad Colpits is returning to YYCFanFair!

By day I work in a warehouse, by night I sleep. When I’m not doing that, I write comics you’ve never heard of like The Streaker, B-Movie Garbage, Pinocchio & Jesus and our newest web comic Elle Chupacabra.

I’m a Canadian based writer. My ability to draw is non-existent, my circles are ovals, and my ovals are circles. I know I sound square, but my squares are rectangular.

Let's all welcome Aaron Navrady to YYCFanFair!

YYCFanFair is proud to welcome Aaron Navrady to our artist tables

A graduate of the Alberta College of Art & Design (now AUArts) in 2002, Aaron has contributed short stories to a variety of respected publications, including Renegade Arts & Entertainment, Nelson Education, BionX, BeatRoute Magazine, and Top Shelf 2.0, alongside numerous other artistic projects.

His latest self-published comics project, The Cold Fire, is a medieval epic set during the Albigensian Crusade. It follows the journey of a Norman Crusader tasked with hunting down heretics across the Alps. The project is available at thecoldfire.com.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Aaron is an active member of Panel One and served as the former Art Director for the Panel One Comic Creator Festival.

YYC FanFair is please to announce our first artist for YYC FanFair Too(electric boogaloo). Matthew Stewart designed this year's poster and we are pleased to have him in attendance.

Local artist and designer who's worked on numerous trading card sets for the past 10+ years, and has contributed to art books, album covers, and more. Drawing from licensed properties including Star Wars and MLB, but also further afield with creating scientific illustrations, landscape paintings, and more.

Just a heads up. After long deliberation, Alpha Comics has made the decision to no longer submit comics to CGC for grading. Astronomical shipping costs have made this no longer a viable option for us. All previous submissions are currently being graded by CGC and should be returned soon.

We've posted the new comics available well into spring (well, May anyways)! For those of you with an active pull list with Alpha - you got the list of new comics via email. All of these new releases are on the front page of Alphacomics.com as well! This includes upcoming cover which, for May, are the Alex Ross Timeless Virgin Covers. Add them all today!
