Somedays, being a boymom is hard. You are responsible for these wildly independent little beings. Somedays, being a boymom means having to call your own mom after questioning your parenting - just so she can come and make sure everything is, in fact, okay.

It takes only a second after an afternoon of fun as you watch your independent toddler fall from the concrete stairs backward & hit his head on the ground. After surgery last week, it was like slow motion getting to him, I felt like I couldn't move quick enough to scoop him up. The vision still haunts me.

• I should have just held his hand
• there is no railing, and the side of the house isn't good enough
• how could I let him fall like that.

By the grace of God, he came out unscathed with just a little bruise, and after an evening full of mom guilt, that sweet wild toddler turns and says

"Sit mom, play bubbles" & it's then you know that even on the days you're filled with mom guilt feeling like you're doing it all wrong, they still love you all the same 💙🩵💗
