Brainstorming ideas for my table at the upcoming Calgary Video Game Collectors Show event. I'm already planning to make a catalogue of my label designs so people can browse games I don't have on hand but can make. But what else should I do to make this show an even bigger success than the last one?

Safety first people! No matter how many times you've done the task before. Just spent 2+ hours in the hospital getting stitches after accidentally stabbing my hand while removing an old label.

On the plus side, I can literally say I put my blood, sweat and tears into my repros 😆

Never try to rush the process. I have to redo a couple boxes because of a mishap that could've been avoided if I wasn't trying to make 5 at once. On the plus side, it occurred before cutting commenced, so it didn't cost me a cramp 😆

Had a fantastic time as a vendor at the Calgary Video Game Collectors Show yesterday! Despite a few mistakes, like not having things laid out nicely for browsing, and completely forgetting to unload one box, all in all it was a resounding success! Thanks to everyone who came and supported me at my first show. I can't wait for the next one!

In gearing up for the Calgary Video Game Collectors Show, I've been hard at work depleting my stash of donors. One cart I had acquired, NES Play Action Football, is an obscure configuration that isn't used for much. That said, there's a way to covert it to a more useful board, but I had put it off thinking it was too difficult (it required rewiring a surface mount chip, no small feat). Today I successfully pulled it off on my first attempt, using it to make a copy of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. It, along with many other games, will be available for purchase at the show!

The lesson here is that you can only improve your skills by pushing your limits...and you never really know what you can do unless you try it out. I can't wait for Saturday!

I will be running a table at the Calgary Video Game Collectors Show at the Acadia Recreation Complex on June 29. Come on down and see me and over 60 other vendors! In addition to reproductions, I will have some assorted video games and other items available, and will be taking orders on anything I don't have on hand. Come on down and say hi!
