Here’s how I made my gingerbread house decor for the base of my Christmas tree:
I started with a large cardboard box from Amazon and freehanded the outlines of houses in different sizes and shapes. Using a ruler and an X-Acto knife, I carefully cut out each house shape.
While you could paint directly onto the cardboard, I decided to take an extra step and attached the cutouts to a foam sheet.
For the details, I used white acrylic paint to create swirls, patterns, and other designs, mimicking the look of real gingerbread houses. To make the process easier, I poured the paint into a small squeeze bottle for better precision.
And there you have it—my gingerbread house tree skirt is complete, and I love how it turned out! I also applied the same technique to decorate the top of my china cabinet, and the result is simply charming!
🍂 Fall tree? 🍁 Easy! Got the base on the Marketplace for $5 (you can use a real tree branch), then added dollar store leaves secured with brown zip ties, and voilà my beautiful tree is ready! I also hang the spooky eyes to make it look more Halloweeny 👀
Made these from scratch today. Any ideas of what's coming soon? 😉
Time for Easter decor!
I used the bunny cutout from Michael's. I painted both sides differently, added styrofoam at the bottom and decorated with leftover silk flowers and leaves. Do you like the result?
The beauty of my flower backdrops is that I can mix and match flowers according to your preferences. Look how pretty this one has turned out. You can look at it in person this upcoming Sunday at my shop.

The idea of making this corner came when I started looking for a place to display my promotional materials. I was given a box which I turned into a present and added the sign post. I absolutely love how this turned out! But what do you think? 🎄
