As of Yesterday, I now am The Vice-President for Oceanside Dia de Mu***os.
I walked into a meeting with a group of community members, and was voted in to represent an event that I plan to help elevate and use to promote cultural awareness.
As many of you know, I unexpectedly was tossed in the trash 🗑️ in Escondido, after helping to feature small businesses, and provide all original concepts, designs, marketing approaches, and spent nearly several years representing the small business commUnity. Many of whom I’ve personally met, went to go find, and have genuinely supported.
The experience led me to anger. It introduced me to high levels of stress, and I went ghost to everyone in my life. I was admitted into the hospital twice due to the mental distress, that welcomed dangerous levels of blood pressure, chest pain, and financial loss.
Months later, here I am finally recognized for my contributions to small businesses, cultural preservation and representation. Oceanside and it’s commUnity members have shown me my true worth.
Let this event be a love letter to the commUnity.
